Micro Magnets
Micro magnets are tiny magnets. Most comprise Neodymium Iron Boron, SmCo, Alnico, and Ferrite. If you have any situations requiring bespoke neodymium magnets, please get in touch with us (SmCo, Alnico, and Ferrite are acceptable).

Micro neodymium magnets, also known as tiny neodymium magnets or natural neodymium magnets, are neodymium magnets with a dimension of fewer than 2 millimeters (5/64 inch) or even smaller.
To make scientific topics easier to understand, we divide the most miniature magnets into two dimensions:
• Small magnets (Little magnets): 1.00 – 2.00 mm (3/64 – 5/64 inch)
• Micro magnets (Tiny magnets): 0.20 – 0.99 mm (200μm-990μm,1/64 – 1/32 inch)
Tiny neodymium magnets are becoming increasingly common in a variety of sectors. Consumer gadgets, cars, medicinal equipment, and so on are examples. Because the general accuracy of production systems is improving. As a consequence, more and more small forms are feasible. Furthermore, tiny neodymium magnets can help reduce total product dimensions.
More and more tiny neodymium magnets are performing previously impossible tasks. Low Access Surgery is one such case (MIS). Coronary vessels, for example, are only 3 – 4 millimeters thick. And the suitable magnet width is 1.35 mm or less.
Features Of Micro Magnets
Bespoke tiny magnets are challenging to produce, and supplier information is scarce. On some big B2B websites, the findings are typically for small magnets of a few millimeters rather than micro magnets.
• Only a few magnet makers in the nation can create such minuscule magnets with distinctive forms – such as cutting a cavity in a micro magnet or the form is uneven (like the picture below).
As a bespoke neodymium magnet provider, tiny magnets are one of our primary emphasis areas. We can make small magnets out of a variety of materials. Neodymium Iron Boron, Samarium Cobalt, Ferrite, and Alnico are a few examples.
Measurement Unit
Many individuals use the same measurement unit as standard magnets. They are both millimeters. For example, the disc magnet can be described as 5*5mm. The dimensions of the block magnet are 5*6*9mm. (Please keep in mind that the last number represents magnetic orientation.)
On the other hand, scholars like to use m to quantify magnets in science studies. as in Yue Wang’s article “A tiny electromagnetic actuator with high force density.”
Minimum Dimensions Of Micro Neodymium Magnets
As a custom magnet supplier, we can produce micro magnets with the dimensions below.
• Minimum block: 0.2*0.2*0.2 mm
• Minimum disc: 0.2*0.2 mm
• Minimum tube: 0.38*0.14 *2 mm
• Tolerances: between +/- 0.005mm and +/- 0.020 mm
• Minimum hole diameter: 0.10 mm
The giant thin magnet we made is 50*50*0.2mm (This is a big challenge)

Grades
The intensity of a neodymium magnet’s magnetic field determines its grade. A number indicates a neodymium magnet’s grade. A higher figure suggests a greater magnetic field.
Neodymium magnets come in various grades spanning from N35 to N55 and high-temperature categories for specific uses such as H, M, SH, EH, and AH.
You can learn more about neodymium magnet classes by reading our primer. It will assist you in determining which school level is best for you.
Aside from the technological options for which grades we can provide, we suggest tiny neodymium magnets of the highest rates – N52, N54, and N55.
• Micro magnets are tiny. As a result, if you choose lower-grade magnets, they may not be able to provide optimal attraction.
• Second, lesser-quality magnets are more challenging to handle and are more likely to be harmed during use.
For these reasons, top-grade micromagnets are preferable to lower-grade magnets.

Coatings
Neodymium magnets are environmentally delicate. They can deteriorate rapidly due to dampness and other harmful factors.
To increase the longevity of neodymium magnets, we will need to cover their surfaces with a layer or levels of compounds. Meanwhile, the magnets will be more immune to scrapes and other harm due to this.
We provide bespoke neodymium magnets with various finishes, such as metal, zinc, urethane, perylene, etc. Each of them has distinct characteristics and advantages.
Kindly look to neodymium magnet coating to select the most appropriate coverage for your magnets.
Micro neodymium magnets are already tiny. As a result, they require great accuracy to operate correctly. As a result, buyers must consider the endurance of various finishes. We must prevent the problem of the covering from affecting the accuracy of the magnets.
In some instances, the layer consisting of the covering is required. Something dense and something delicate. This is due to the nature of such coating methods rather than the coating service companies intentionally producing faulty goods.
Please contact us if you have specific specifications for the texture and accuracy of the magnet surface.

Costs For Micro Neodymium Magnets
Individuals wonder why micromagnets are more costly than regular magnets. Miniature magnets use significantly less substance than ordinary magnets.
Is it the producer who earns a lot of money?
Here are three reasons why tiny neodymium magnets are more expensive.
Hard To Process
Nano magnets are more difficult to manufacture because they are too tiny to manage correctly. They will necessitate specific fittings and extra care. The most difficult tasks are cutting and finishing. It may take longer to modify and fine-tune machinery. In some severe instances, we require 7 hours of physical labor to create the first certified micromagnet.
The majority of the processes necessitate the physical processing of the magnets, resulting in decreased output. This also increases manufacturing expenses.

High Wastage
During manufacturing, micromagnets have a significantly greater failure rate. Sometimes, we must make 800 – 2,000 parts to get 50 approved magnets. Their basic materials are costly N52, N54, or N55.
Most faulty magnets occur when employees start-up and fine-tune the equipment. Miniature neodymium magnets are insufficiently tiny and fragile. The magnets will be faulty or even harmed even if the working power is marginally more significant.
Special Instruments
Micro magnets cannot be manufactured in the same factories as ordinary magnets. Their forbearance will be more than adequate. As a result, we’ll need to employ some specialized equipment. We also have a Quadratic element measure to ensure that the measurements are correct and that the product meets the client’s needs.
Excellent Skilled Workers
Many of the processes for making tiny magnets are done by hand. Although automatic machines have made great strides, they can still not make some precision bespoke magnets. People employees are still more adaptable to the demands of actual work.
Osenc has been steadily increasing our capacity to produce a wider variety of micron magnets, and we can now handle 0.2 mm magnets.
We always provide high-quality, long-term-stability goods. We have made significant progress in this area.
Our goods, particularly our deep-hole thin magnetic bands, find widespread application in timepieces, timers, micro-motors, meters, optical transmission, and other areas.
We can also create a new style based on the customer’s sketch and specifications. Many clients are pleased with our superior methods in magnetic tubes, magnetic cylinders, columnar magnets, magnetic conduit, hole magnets, magnetic pipelines, pipe magnets, tube magnets, Cylinder magnets, deep hole magnets, and other applications.
Applications
Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and medical microrobots have always had more significant needs for micromagnets in the medical technology business. They have lesser requirements than other sectors because they don’t have an option.
Human heart vessels, for example, are only 3 to 4 millimeters in thickness in the MIS. That means the magnet should have a width of 1.35 or less. Otherwise, tubes with magnets risk damaging blood arteries.
The magnet used in the subretinal injection experiments (such as A Magnetically Navigated Microcannula for Subretinal Injections, Samuel L. Charreyron) is a tiny tubular magnet with 400 m Diameter, 270 m ID, and 2mm length.
